Yellow!
It's been a very long time now and I'm honestly sorry for that. School got the best of me this last couple of weeks but I found some time last weekend and actually went out doing something interesting. I joined a friend of mine, who's a photographer, and attended a photo shoot for a new jewellery collection by the Belgian brand "La Ville" and I was honoured to do an exclusive Behind the Scenes.
To start this off, the brand was founded by Jolien De Ville and Sofie De Ville. You can maybe already guess, they are sisters. They started their own business about a good 2 years ago and things are going good. They make jewellery out of leather, a strange idea at first but a great one if you look closer, and it's kind of impressive as well. With a laser cutter they cut or even burn small pieces out of the leather and that makes it look like some kind of lace. I think the creations look absolutely gorgeous.

Now that you know more about the brand, I will continue with the shoot. Maybe you know or maybe you don't but everything starts with preparation. Figuring out all the outfits, which jewellery that has to be used, make-up for every outfit, everything has to be thought off before the shoot even starts. The first real action that happens on location is the styling and make-up.
For this shoot Jolien and Sofie decided to work with the amazing Sanne De Wolf as their make-up artist and I must say she did an incredible job, knowing there were 10 different outfits for this photo shoot, all with their individual make-up and hairstyle. To give you an insight, I took a few pictures when they were working on some looks. Sanne took care of the make-up, the hair and the nails and every time the model looked stunning.

Then there were also the outfits that needed to fit. Person on the job was Silke Meulewaeter, a very friendly woman with a talent for styling. The clothes she had chosen, fitted the model very well and the outfits looked really good with the jewellery and also with the make-up.
This said, I'm continuing with the model, Cécile De Borggraef. It was so much fun watching how she owned every look every time again. It seemed like she could do anything and wear anything, and it would still look amazing, even when the poses were a little bit odd. I already saw some of here previous work and I'm amazed by her talent.

That was the preparation we needed to go trough on location before actually taking the pictures. As for the actual shoot, I was stunned! I already attended photo shoots before, but this one was intense, and I mean that in a good way. My deep respect goes to all the people who worked so hard at this shoot. And just so you know, no, I didn't forgot the photographer. I saved that just until now.
Her name is
Morgane Gielen, and in my opinion, she is a great upcoming photographer with a great eye for the art of photography. Wanna know more, click the

I really hope that everyone enjoyed having an insight on such a photo shoot. I am a big fan of all and I'd love to see more work in the future. If you're excited to see how the actual pictures look like, you must stayed tuned for the results later this month on my blog and the other websites.
